Brief Info

Pinnacle Infotech is responsible for creating the 3D BIM Model of Stiles Bancroft Hall consisting of 1 Building with 8 Floors and Roof at United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland – the largest single dormitory in the world. Bancroft Hall, named after the former U.S. Secretary of Navy and the famous historian/author George Bancroft, is home for the entire brigade of 4,000 midshipmen, containing 1,700 rooms, 4.8 miles (7.7 km) corridors & 33 acres (13 ha) floor space. The basic facilities that midshipmen need for daily living are found in the hall. Referred to as “Mother B” or “The Hall” by Midshipmen, the purpose of constructing the Bancroft Residence Hall project is to bring new student housing to Bancroft Way along with retail & new space for Stiles Hall. The project, bounded by Bancroft Way, Dana St & Durant St included 775 beds for students along with study and activity space. Construction is scheduled to begin from Nov. 28, 2016 with preparation for demolition of the existing Stiles Hall, which is vacant at present. The new housing is scheduled to open in August 2018.
