Shasta County, in association with the State of California, replacing the existing juvenile detention facility is a 90-bed Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility.

The 46,627 square foot project includes three 30-bed housing units, a kitchen, medical clinic, secure areas for intake and visitation, a multipurpose room, space for classes and programs, administrative and central control offices and an outdoor recreation yard.

The building will primarily be constructed of insulated concrete masonry blocks that will add to the energy efficiency, security and durability.
