Brief Info

The Metropolitan Water District (MWD) of Southern California has embarked on a major construction project at its Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant in Yorba Linda. (This is one of five treatment plants in the Metropolitan Water District(MWD)system) This project adds a new ozone disinfection system to further improve water quality.
To make this upgrade a reality, several new facilities were constructed on the plant site. These new facilities include ozone contractors, an ozone generation building, improved electrical power facilities, oxygen storage facilities, and drought-tolerant landscaping. Diemer’s hilltop location is well suited for gravity-flow distribution of water to Los Angeles and Orange counties. The plant is capable of treating up to 520 million gallons of drinking water a day, enough to meet the needs of 3 million people.
