Pinnacle created the 3D BIM Model of P-620 at LOD 400 & 500 (comprising of 1 Building, 4 Floors and 10 Zones) – a commercial entertainment project in Miami, Florida, United States which would be a tropical paradise at Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park opening in 2017, spread over a project area of 507,000 sq. ft. The purpose of constructing the BIM models of P-620 studio was to use these models for fabrication, producing shop drawings for construction and also to meet various project objectives including 3D coordination, clash mitigation, quantity take-offs, visualization and 4D capabilities for scheduling, phasing, sequencing and digital mock-ups. The BIM model of the Universal studio was divided into separate levels and zones for efficient working and coordination of various trades by concentrating on particular location of the building. Moreover, the breakups were necessary to reduce the file size to handle and deliver the files smoothly, avoiding technical glitches.
