Pinnacle created the 3D BIM Model for the Educational Project, consisting of 4 Buildings(100, 200, 300 & 400) spread over a project area of 5,80,000 sq.ft. Our scope of work was to model the Building-100 with 4 Floors including the Equipment Platform. The purpose of construction was expansion of the building with 3-Storey classroom wing for accomodating 160 students. The creation of BIM Model of Educational Building for Clark Elementary School of Milne Electric was to develop the model with Value Engineering at LOD 400. The models were used to produce shop drawings for construction and also to meet various project objectives viz. 3D Coordination, Clash Mitigation, Quantity take-offs, Visualization and for validation of Systems, Connected Loads, Panel Scheduling & Load Balancing, Phasing, Sequencing & Classification of all loads & calculation. The BIM model of the Elementary School was divided into separate levels and zones for efficient working and coordination of various trades by concentrating on particular location of the building. Moreover, the breakups were needed to reduce file size to handle and deliver files smoothly, avoiding technical glitches. Tod Wood is the developer of this project and the funding source is from the 2012 Bond. The estimated cost of construction is $26,50,000 of which the Actual Start Date was June 2016 and the expected end date will be September 2017.
