Chip Branscum, P.E. with an impressive 33 years’ experience in engineering design and management has joined team Pinnacle as the Director of Engineering. Chip possess experience working on engineering projects ranging from collegiate recreation centers to commercial high-rises. He is a registered Professional Engineer in 21 states including Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. Apart from being a registered professional, he is also a LEED Accredited professional.
He has worked with leading designing and construction firms across the USA handling complex MEP projects, collaborated with local Fortune 100 on energy efficiency initiatives and recruiting and managing engineering group. As an Engineering/CAD Manager, he has managed a group of modelers for 3D BIM coordination/fabrication for Louisville, Cincinnati, and Columbus regions. He has vast experience in coordinating the training and implementation of integrated cost estimation programs with 3D CAD coordination elements. He has structured AIA CEU approved learning courses for Energy Code Compliance and HVAC systems.
Chip Branscum’s innovative and proactive design approach has helped in creating an energy recovery ventilator system and in geothermal heating/cooling systems utilizing a “lake-plate heat exchanger system”. He also worked as an Adjunct Professor of University of Cincinnati-College of Applied Science. He was former president of Cincinnati Chapter of ASHRAE.
