The Big Tujunga Dam

SCOPE OF WORK:
The entire Building Information Modeling of the new dam was conceived and developed alongside the existing dam. New and old topographical surface was created. The estimation relating to excavation work for the new dam was generated by the aid of BIM modeling. The entire concrete structure of the dam was created and divided in to nine individual sections. Each of these nine individual sections was further subdivided into smaller individual segments.
The modeling of the concrete structure for each and every segment was generated. These concrete blocks were designed according to the required length, breadth and height. The concrete placement drawings for each and every segments of each individual concrete block were also created. The entire 3D modeling of control room, passages, elevators and stairs were also designed. BIM of the entire architectural structure was also generated along with complete steel structure.
The BIM modeling of the entire plumbing, HVAC and piping members for the new dam was designed. 3D modeling of the complete electrical of the dam and its associated control rooms were also designed. All these design models were made for structures, which are external and internal to the new dam. Bills of material were also generated for these structures.
