Building Information Modeling (BIM) was introduced nearly ten years ago to distinguish the information rich architectural 3D modeling from the traditional 2D drawing.

BIM is a building design methodology characterized by the creation and use of coordinated, internally consistent computable information about a building project in design and construction.

Coordinated Model

BIM generates coordinated models allowing clients to check for possible interferences among of all the building systems. Models help construction companies to visualize the schematic structures before the construction starts, which in turn leads to better project planning. This reduces redundancy during the construction phase, saving time and money.
