BIM	Building Information Modeling

The US based construction company, is building a new school at Rancho Mirage, California. Modern amenities at the school will surely help reducing the risk factor for the construction. The parents will surely sigh in relief. :-

A new school building is being built on more than 60 acres of land near Ramon Road and DaVall Drive in Rancho Mirage. The construction of the foundation of the building and the coordination of the underground utilities have already got started being built. A major part of the steel structure is expected to be on the verge of completion by 2011. Building Information Modeling is being adopted for MEP modeling and underground utilities.

The school consists of a nine building structure that comprises of different departments for different subjects and also the parking space. Apart from that a few buildings will house cafeterias, performing Art centers and athletic buildings.

We Provide

The school authority wants a play field and a stadium to be built. The school has planned for installation of audio-visual equipments in the library and classrooms. The BIM model structured prior to the initiation of building, helps in easy implementation the BIM library for the installation of modern equipments in the rooms. Apart from that the inclusion of sinks, chemical resistant counter tops, gas and power lines have also been planned according to the Mechanical, Engineering and Plumbing structure. Other than these Building Information Modeling structuring also takes care of the proper planning for projectors, high speed data and motorized screens.

California Career Technical Education Program has funded the dining rooms, class rooms and kitchen in the school building. So, probably the building owners, viz McCarthy are answerable to a few organizations regarding the utilization of fund. So, the contractors need to chalk out proper plan for the completion of the construction through BIM procedure.
