Edith Green-Wendell Wyatt Federal Building of Portland, Oregon is about to embrace a complete face lift and flaunt a completely new and a quite greener get up. EMCOR Group, a Fortune 500 company, a leader in electrical and mechanical construction and energy infrastructure will take care of the renovation of Edith Green building. EMCOR's Portland Oregon branch has received the contract of replacing electrical systems in the building.
EMCOR's branch Dynalectric will be replacing the tele/data systems, fire alarm in this 18-story building on an area of 500,000 square feet. Dynalectric has been instrumental in executing the Integrated Project Delivery process. Dynalectric is doing the on-site project management for the construct and implementing BIM or Building Information Modeling with utmost precision.
The project is supposed to be completed in the year 2013. LEED Platinum standard is being followed to build the Edith Green building. The construct will house sustainable and innovative technologies. This project can be considered as the largest of those done under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) in the U.S. General Service Administration's Region 10.
The president and CEO of Dynalectric, Randy Wagner expressed his joy for being involved in the construction of the project. Being associated with the ARRA Act made the project even more prestigious. Moreover, this is one of those projects in which BIM has been implemented in the most effective way. Wagner added that Dynalectric will be imparting modern electrical construction methods to the Wendell Wyatt Building.

Moreover, it does a face-lift for some existing structures and creates mechanical, electrical, lighting, heating, air conditioning, security, power generation and fire protection systems for those.
