Autodesk experts observed that after recession, attendance rate at CAD seminars dropped drastically. Construction market is reviving & churning out effective BIM models.
A CAD manager bears testimony to the fact that recession took its toll on the construction industry and the same person testifies that the market is getting better now. Robert Green is an expert CAD programmer, involved in CAD consulting and programming in Canada and the United States. He has been widely acclaimed as the author of Expert CAD Management: The Complete Guide. He was at the Autodesk University, recently. He thinks the turn out appeared to be much more than that in last year (2009), which is doubtlessly a good sign for the BIM and CAD industry.
Mr. Green is quite optimistic about the sector as he interacts with a much well-informed mass this time. He faces questions like, " How to use a particular tool in the business?", instead of "What is BIM" or "What Point Cloud is"? The most interesting part of the fact is that people for other industries also think that their job can have effective impact of BIM industry.
People are showing up in a large number to attend advance classes on different 3D applications, such as, mechanical CAD, Civil 3D, etc. Moreover, CAD managers are taking more interest in 3D technologies. The conference offered a clear vibe that people involved in the business of CAD and BIM are moving with cautious steps, but a very optimistic frame of mind. The industry, it seems is ready to shed off all the pessimism and anxiety that has been prevailing since last year. More and more shoppers are interested in adopting BIM model to build their shop at the lowest possible cost and time. |
